Drei Monate sp\u00e4ter feierte der \u201cGT-R\u201d nach 16 Jahren Pause sein Comeback. Sein Motor, der speziell entwickelte 2,6-Liter-Reihensechszylinder-DOHC-Biturbo \u201cRB26DETT\u201d, leistete 280 PS. Das elektronisch gesteuerte Allradsystem \u201cATTESA E-TS\u201d verteilte das Drehmoment optimal auf alle vier R\u00e4der. Auch eine Mehrlenkerachse an allen vier R\u00e4dern geh\u00f6rte dazu. Dank dieser Ausstattung erreichte der GT-R eine der weltweit besten Fahrleistungen unter den Limousinen-basierten Sportwagen. Er konnte beeindruckende 29 Siege und eine ungeschlagene Serie von vier Saisons in der Japanischen Tourenwagen-Meisterschaft (1990\u20131993) verbuchen.
