In the school, he have special interest in the mechanical , especially the preferred heat engine and steam engine. In 1872 he borrowed money from his friends to set up a \u201cBentz iron casting and machinery factory\u201d. Because of the economic downturn, after five years the factory is close closing. Was forced to turn the direstion to the development of the great potential of the engine manufacturing, December 31, 1879 he finally succeeded in manufacture a single-cylinder two-stroke engine. At that time people do not know the engine for motor vehicles and motorcycles, so no one specifically to buy his production of the engine. He spend the most difficult period relying on his wife\u2019s dowry.<\/p>\n<p>In 1882 he finally achieved the support of a businessman and a banker, the joint establishment of the Mannheim gas engine company,due to the constraints of investors, he can not do work as he want, soon he angrily quit the company. He finally understand the engine only to the actual use to have sales. So he change gas engine to gasoline engine, and mounted to the tricycle, finally in 1885 to create the world\u2019s first car!
