When the car has become an indispensable necessities of life today,When people enjoy the wind on wheels, We should not forget the inventor of the car – Mr. Benz!

Carl Benz, born in 1844 in Germany, the world’s first car manufacturer, the founder of the famous Mercedes-Benz car company.

Mr.Benz like cars. In the school, he have special interest in the mechanical , especially the preferred heat engine and steam engine. In 1872 he borrowed money from his friends to set up a “Bentz iron casting and machinery factory”. Because of the economic downturn, after five years the factory is close closing. Was forced to turn the direstion to the development of the great potential of the engine manufacturing, December 31, 1879 he finally succeeded in manufacture a single-cylinder two-stroke engine. At that time people do not know the engine for motor vehicles and motorcycles, so no one specifically to buy his production of the engine. He spend the most difficult period relying on his wife’s dowry.

In 1882 he finally achieved the support of a businessman and a banker, the joint establishment of the Mannheim gas engine company,due to the constraints of investors, he can not do work as he want, soon he angrily quit the company. He finally understand the engine only to the actual use to have sales. So he change gas engine to gasoline engine, and mounted to the tricycle, finally in 1885 to create the world’s first car! The car is a single-cylinder engine, water-cooled, vertical, displacement 985CC, power of 1.5 horsepower, the maximum speed of 18 km per hour.
